Restoration

A cts 3:19-21 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Jesus Christ must be restrained in heaven, irrespective of the desire He has to return to this earth, until the times of restoration of all things which God has spoken by the mouth of all his prophets since the world began.

The qualification is not the restoration of all things. If this were so, then even the devil would be restored to his former position. This teaching, very prevalent in certain parts of Canada, is known as ultimate reconciliation, and features prominently with its twin brother, evolution, and its young sibling, eternal security, or once saved, always saved.

God has spoken by the mouth of his prophets: he has done so since the world began. Here is an invitation to search diligently all that the prophets have written, and where indicated, earnestly seek God for its restoration to the church.

Matthew 17:10-13 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elijah must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake to them of John the Baptist.
