T he Peace Offering

 

Responsibilities: 

Offerer:   Lead the sacrifice to the door of the tabernacle. Lay hands on its head. Slay. Fat (caul and kidneys) Suet. Give to the priest. 

Priest: Wave the breast (affection). Heave (strength) the right shoulder. Presented to God, then given back. 

Leviticus 9:29-31 

Portions: 

God:  Leviticus 3:14-16 The fat and the inwards (suet).  Leviticus 7:23-35 Exclusively God’s (Sheep). 

Priest: Breast and Right Shoulder. 

Offerer: Remainder. Eaten in the Tabernacle Court.
