Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

The highlighted words indicate the English translation where the Hebrew letters are located.

 

The Hebrew Text:

At a Count of -12, the highlighted Hebrew letters spell the word Y Sh U A, [Yeshua], translated in English, Jesus.

‘Jesus’ is encoded in the Book of Jonah 84 times.

The Lord Jesus believed emphatically in the fish story of Jonah and the whale. It is the greatest sign in the Bible. It foreshadows Jesus’ Death, Burial and Resurrection.

Many believe that Jonah actually died in the great fish. If so, then this is even a greater picture of Jesus’ Resurrection.
